Nicholas Lessins Wow, what an unexpected treasure. I came to this while recently navigating David Kilgour's work on Bandcamp, and was unfamiliar with NZ poet legend Sam Hunt. Initially hesitant of the idea of attaching musical accompaniment to a poet's reading, it grew on me fast, and quickly bowled me over... as I began to form imagery in my head from the masterful tangle of words, it became more apparent how well the the music effortlessly gelled with the spoken word poetry. Genius from start to finish. Favorite track: Wavesong.

Pereiha As part of the generation that admired Sam's panache in his foxton straights, listening in the school library, the assembly hall and university union halls it's a delight to hear many of these poems again - backed with passion by Dave Kilgour and the Heavy 8's.

Quirky, beautiful, exuberant - an essential album for fans of Kiwi music and poetry. Favorite track: When Morning Comes.

James Nash Fantastic record! The lush, earnest music of DK + H8s, that I stumbled upon on End Times Undone soundtracks the genius poetry of Hunt. Funny, sad, abstract, profound. Love this album. Favorite track: The Gunners Lament.

Simon Holtham This album is bloody brilliant, and I'm very excited to see it performed on Friday.
